Morgan (Construction R. Darmont) 3-Wheelers

Darmont Type Sport

Left:
This photo shows the sisters and brothers of the grandmother of the families Raphaël Levron and Emmanuel Levron in a Darmont-Morgan Type Sport in front of their chateaux in France. The photo was taken pre 1930, unfortunately nothing else is known about it. The Model Sport was first built in 1922 and came with a guarantee to exceed a 100 Km/h, which must have made it one of the fastest cars of it's time.

Darmont Type Sport

Right:
The same car (Darmont Type Sport) and location as in the picture above, but this time with the grandparents of the Levron's.

YELLOW, a racer driven by Henry Laird

Yellow
Left:
This car belonged to Henry Laird and is known as YELLOW. It was driven by Henry Laird as an everyday transport as well as a racer. A nice detail is the sheet in the background which is a recurring feature of early motorcar photography. The idea is to blot out the distracting background and concentrate the reader's full attention on the lines and details of the car!
Another racecar of Henry Laird was called RED. This car (RED) now belongs to Larry Ayers (USA) and you will find photos of that car in the Photo Album No. 8
